fireworks, hula hoop class, and pottery painting

so we went to the fireworks at a lake which was so beautiful
and after taking a picture together
the fireworks went off
and they
were
beautiful
the next day or so after Rita and I went to a hula hoop class, where I learned to swing it around my neck
down around my shoulders
around on my hand
back around my waist
then back onto my hand
it was a really silly and fun way to exercise
then on Thursday we went to paint pottery, and there was had just been a huge flood, no big deal
and the place was really cute inside
before...
and after
Jacob painting his plate
before..
and after!
and Jacob's final plate. It was so much fun and I can't wait to see what they look like in the end!

visiting the hotel from the shinning

so we went for a drive into Rocky Mountain National State Park
which was beautiful
and so we stopped on the side of the road
to take a picture
and then we stopped at this lake to picnic
which was beautiful
and the clouds were amazing
then went over
to take some pictures
kissing of course :)
and a smushy one
but of course
we had to jump around
and be
silly
then
we went to the most amazing chocolate shop ever
and got fudge even those these apples looked delicious
then we went to the stanley hotel!!
the same hotel that stephen king based the shining on
the dining room
and the outside of it
but we wanted to see upstairs
so we snuck up
and it was sooo creepy
like really? I don't need to photoshop the twins in to make you scared
and on this staircase we all got the chills, it was super scary
now this room was the most haunted of all in the hotel, people apparently pay $400-600 a night and leave within 2-3 hours because they're so scared. This is the room where Stephen King lived while writing the shining...just a tad creepy
but the view from outside was absolutely spectacular
like it looked like a postcard
and that night we tried mead
which unfortunately wasn't that amazing...but we did feel like elves drinking it haha

scallops and home made ravioli

so we decided to make home made ravioli
so we made a dent into the flour
and then poured egg into it
which was much harder
then the cookbook made it out to be
but then we started working on the filling
and after finishing that, we covered it
and started working on the pasta dough
which had to be rolled out

and then it was time to stuff them
like so
which was pretty cool
and then we seared the scallops
which ws amazing
because they looked and tasted so good
and for dessert we went out for some gelato which was so yummy
and passed this crazy street performer who was juggling fire while his pants were on fire haha
